Jenna Pagano, MS, LCMFT
Jenna Pagano is the owner, and currently the sole therapist, at the Pagano Wellness Clinic (PWC). She is originally from Minnesota, where she received her Masters of Science as a Marriage and Family Therapist from St. Cloud State University. While in Minnesota Jenna worked in crisis care, and as a behavioral therapist. She completed the coursework for her PhD at the University of Iowa in 2016, and is currently working on the dissertation portion.
While at the University of Iowa Jenna worked under a grant from Penn State providing family therapy to pediatric victims of abuse. She is Safe Zone certified, and was trained to provide assessments for Transgender individuals to receive HRT at the University of Iowa's LGBTQ Clinic. Her doctoral research has focused on improving outcomes for foster children, treating body dysmorphic disorders (BDD) within the family unit, the biobehavioral family model, and the experiences of military spouses. You may find published articles under her maiden name Jenna Benoit.
Jenna believes that her role as a therapist is to join with her clients in their process of growth. She believes that every weakness is a strength magnified, and that every behavior makes sense in its own context. She enjoys working with clients of all ages, and families of all sizes.
As a military spouse Jenna is invested in the health of military families, spouses, and veterans. She provides services and treatments tailored to the unique strengths and stressors, including empirically tested surveys to help pinpoint areas of strength and growth specific to pre-marital, marital enrichment, and parenting success for those in the military. She also provides specialized trauma treatment at the couple and family level.
Jenna has specialized training to practice both EMDR and Hypnotherapy. She is also trained and approved to facilitate Prepare and Enrich couples assessments in the area of pre-marital, marital, group, parenting, and adoption. Prepare and Enrich offers specific versions for spiritual/religious affiliations and military couples.
Butters, Therapy Dog in Training
Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our beloved Butters. He was the facility therapy dog who was always happy to see you. He was available for sessions upon request. Butters loved children, belly scratches, cuddles, and compliments. He stole many hearts along with stuffed animals.
Currently the Pagano Wellness Clinic is training Winston (golden retriever born on December 12th, 2016) as a facility and community therapy dog. True to breed his obedience and cuddles are pure gold. Please watch for updates on Winston's training progress.
Some sessions (such as play) are not appropriate for a therapy dog. Please alert the clinic if you have any allergies
